Our Story
Kenai King Lodge began with a love for Alaska and the outdoors. Long before the lodge existed, owner Kevin, along with his brother and father, spent years traveling through Canada and Alaska’s backcountry camping and exploring everything these incredible places have to offer. As their families grew, their wives encouraged them to find a home base, a place where they could continue their Alaska adventures without disappearing into the wilderness for weeks at a time.
That dream led them to this special stretch of property along the Kenai River. Construction began, and in 2006 Kenai King Lodge officially opened its doors. Since then, we have proudly operated as a family-run bed and breakfast, welcoming guests from over 20 states and even several countries around the world.
Kenai King Lodge Today
We operate as an all inclusive bed and breakfast, ideal for travelers seeking a relaxing, hosted stay, as well as private weekly rentals for groups who want the entire lodge to themselves.
Whether you’re here for world-class fishing, wildlife viewing, or simply unplug and take in the stunning scenery, our home is your home. The Kenai King Lodge is the perfect place for your family to make themselves at home while exploring the famous Kenai Peninsula of Alaska.
As a family run business, we take pride in offering personalized hospitalty, local knowledge, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back year after year.
Our Family
Kevin and Liz Fuze
Kevin and Liz Fuze have been Alaskan adventurers for more than 30 years now. They built the Kenai King Lodge from the ground up, carving out a home base for those who wanted more than just a vacation, but a true Alaskan experience.
Owners
The Fuze Children
The four Fuze children—Abby, Monica, Andrew, and Morgan—grew up spending their summers at the lodge and have each contributed in their own way over the years. While they're not all here at the same time anymore, there's usually a member of the family around each summer helping guests enjoy their Alaska experience.
The Next Generation
The family has continued to grow, with all four children now married and a new generation beginning to discover Alaska. Grandkids are making their own memories at the lodge and bringing fresh energy, ideas, and fun to life on the Kenai River
We believe the best Alaska vacations combine adventure, comfort, and genuine hospitality. Whether you're here to fish the Kenai River, explore the peninsula, or simply enjoy the scenery, our goal is to make you feel at home and help you create lasting memories.
